4J36 ( Invar 36 ) Plate For Tooling and Dies for Aerospace Composite Tooling
1 . Descriptions:
4J36 is known as Invar 36, has the advantage of low expansion with high tempersture.Invar 36 is a 36% nickel-iron alloy possessing a rate of thremal expansion approximately one -tenth that of carbon steel at temperatures up to 204℃.
Invar is an austenitic alloy. It is strong, tough, ductile and possesses a useful degree of corrosion resistance. It is magnetic at temperatures below its Curie point and non-magnetic at temperatures above. Invar is therefore always magnetic in the temperature range in which it exhibits the low expansion characteristics. Invar is the standard alloy for low expansivity up to 400 oF. For tooling and dies for areospace composite
tooling, bimetallic thermostats and in rod and tube assemblies for temperature regulators .
